Good question (and one we gave careful thought to when developing this tool). Since you only build the newsletter in our tool (and do not send it out of our tool) we do not come in contact with or have need for your member list. In other words—no, we not have access to your members.
How can I make my headlines match the style of the article headlines?
The CSS style for the article headlines is H4. Making the headlines you create in your WSIWYG text sections match the headlines in the Article sections is as easy as putting an <h4> HTML tag around the headline text within your HTML code. Use the HTML source code editor box to drop in this code.
What if I already have a newsletter template I'm using?
No worries. We can easily convert your existing template to be used on the eNews Generator. Simply send the template to Stacy Sawyer (stacy.sawyer@penton.com) and we'll add it to the eNews Generator as a template option.
No User Group? No Problem!
You don't need to have your own user group to get lots of value from the eNews Generator. You could have a team of developers you work with or a group of colleagues that you want to keep looped in on what's happening in the IT Pro / Developer world. Create and send out newsletters including articles you think will be interesting or helpful with their projects. They'll thank you for it!
Can I add any Windows IT Pro articles to my newsletter?
Yes. In fact you can include any article from Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine, Paul Thurrott's WinInfo, and Connected Home Express. You can take whatever article you want and include it in your newsletter. Pass along the latest IT news alongside your own articles and updates. Simply look up the article ID number from any article on any of our Web sites. the article ID number (also known as the InstantDoc ID) is a five-digit number. It can be found towards the end of the URL or under the author's name at the top of the article as shown below.
http://www.securityprovip.com/Article/ArticleID/97928/97928.html (In this example the article ID number is 97928.)
What else can the eNews Generator do?
Tons! There are plenty of other uses for the eNews Generator:
* Sending internal e-mails in your company
* Sending updates and messages to your company's mailing list
* Any other way you can dream up to use this tool to get your message and leverage Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazine articles.
